Dr. Tamara Broadhead, DNP-FNP

Nurse Practitioner

Tamara brings primary care for women to West Jordan.  Tamara holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of General Studies with an emphasis in psychology. She is board certified in family practice and is working toward a second board certification in psychiatric and mental health advanced nursing practice. Tamara has experience in many nursing areas including primary care, acute care, urgent care, emergency care, psychiatric nursing and intensive care for all ages. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the Utah Nurse Practitioners (UNP) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Tamara believes that health isn't just absence of disease but also includes wellness and treatment of the whole person--physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  She has first-hand experience with many challenges that women face beginning with adolescence and continuing on into middle age: eating disorders, depression, anxiety, chronic disease, healthy weight maintenance, hormonal imbalances and more.  These have resulted in empathy for others who face similar challenges.  Tamara takes her role as a healthcare provider very seriously by listening to each patient's concerns, working hard to offer the best treatment and then taking the time to make sure each patient understands their unique plan of care.

Tamara has raised four daughters and a son and has a blended family of nine children between the ages of 14 and 26.  She has one grandchild.
